Bolla
In the winter of 2000-2001 I spent 45 days visiting family in the Northern Italian countryside. It was during one of my many escapades into Venice that I captured these photographs. While exploring the city I wondered into Campo S. Aponal, where a crowd had gathered to watch a performer create enormous bubbles. I was so intrigued; I had to try to photograph them. Using my Hasselblad camera, a quick eye and steady hands I managed to capture many on film. The 7 bolla (bubble) images shown here best express the feeling of awe I experienced at the time of their creation. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.
